Pointe West Golf Club is Essex County's only full Equity Membership Private Club. Equity Membership at Pointe West entitles you to all the rights and privileges ownership brings to a shareholder of a corporation. It provides you, your family and guests with an opportunity to be part of one of the area's most prestigious communities.

The prinicipal differences between Equity Membership at Pointe West and membership in traditional private clubs are your valuable rights as a shareholder, the opportunity to participate in the potential growth of the Club, and ability to transfer and sell your share. As a member of a traditional private club, you have no opportunity to participate in its growth, initiation fees are non-recoverable and membership is non-transferable.

Also, the purchase of an Equity Share may qualify as an eligible investment for a self-directed RRSP. Individuals, who have not previously held an Equity Membership, who join and purchase a share during the 2013 season, will receive an immediate credit to their account, equivalent to 50% of the first year's Membership Dues.

Pointe West Equity Membership Features:

Equity ownership is limited to 445 Shareholders
A Pointe West Shareholder does not pay an initiation fee on joining Pointe West Golf Club
A Pointe West share is transferable
Any capital appreciation in the value of a Pointe West Share accrues solely to the Shareholder, and can be obtained on the sale or transfer of the share
Equity Members may stand for election to the Board of Directors of Pointe West Golf Club and are encouraged to serve on various Club Standing Committees
Playing rights can be assigned to immediate family members
An equity share in Pointe West Golf Club may qualify as an eligible investment in a self-administered registered retirement savings plan
